Printins Direct Terms & Conditions (Terms of Service)

1. Introduction

Welcome to Printins Direct. By accessing our Website, placing an order, or purchasing our products or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

2. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions:

  • Printins Direct, “we,” “us,” or “our” – refers to Printins Direct, the seller of products and services.

  • Customer or Buyer – the person or entity purchasing products or services from Printins Direct.

  • Order – a request to purchase products or services through our Website.

  • Custom Product – an item that is either outside of our standard products, an adaptation of an existing product, or created specifically for the customer, including parts requested to be 3D printed or sourced separately.

  • Defective Item – any product that is faulty, damaged, or not produced according to agreed specifications.

  • Order Confirmation – the email or written notification sent to the customer confirming that their order has been accepted and a binding contract formed.

  • Production Start – the point at which a Custom Product enters production after all design work, proofs, and specifications have been agreed upon and accepted by the customer.

  • Digital Proof – a digital representation, mock-up, or preview of a product provided to the customer for review and approval before production.

  • Buyer Approval – explicit confirmation by the customer that they accept and approve a Digital Proof or product specification.

  • Delivery Partner – the courier or postal service responsible for delivering orders (currently Royal Mail).

  • International Order – any order placed for delivery outside the United Kingdom.

  • Return Period – the timeframe, measured in calendar days from the date of delivery, during which eligible items may be returned.

  • Force Majeure Event – any event beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, accidents, or government actions.

  • Website Content – all text, images, graphics, product descriptions, designs, logos, videos, and other materials displayed on the Website.

  • Customer Materials – files, designs, images, specifications, or other information provided by the customer for custom products.

  • Personal Data – information relating to an identifiable individual, including name, contact details, payment information, and delivery address.

  • Website – the Printins Direct online platform, including all pages, content, and services accessible via desktop, mobile, or other devices.

  • UK – the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

  • Customer Account – an account created by the customer on the Website for placing orders and managing personal information.

  • Terms & Conditions – this document, including any amendments, updates, or supplementary policies.

3. Orders & Contract Formation

  • Orders placed on the Website are legally binding only once an Order Confirmation is issued.

  • Printins Direct may refuse or cancel any order at its discretion, even after submission but before Order Confirmation.

  • If a product is out of stock or unavailable, the customer may wait for restock, select an alternative item, or cancel the order for a full refund.

  • Errors in pricing, product descriptions, or availability may result in order cancellation with a full refund issued if payment has been made.

  • For Custom Products, production begins only after Buyer Approval of the Digital Proof. Once Production Start has occurred, cancellation is no longer permitted.

4. Deposits & Non-Refundable Payments

  • For certain orders, Printins Direct may require a deposit upfront to cover the cost of materials or production.

  • Once production has started, the deposit becomes non-refundable, even if the customer cancels the order.

  • The balance of the order must be paid according to the standard Payment Terms before dispatch.

  • This clause applies in addition to the standard cancellation and Custom Product policies.

5. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.

  • Payment must be made in full at the time of order using accepted payment methods.

  • Printins Direct reserves the right to change prices at any time without notice. Changes do not affect orders already confirmed.

6. Shipping & Delivery

  • UK deliveries use Royal Mail 48hr Tracked Service.

  • Orders are typically dispatched within 1–2 Working Days.

  • Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.

  • Risk passes to the customer once the item is handed to the Delivery Partner.

  • For lost or delayed deliveries, Printins Direct will liaise with the Delivery Partner. If undelivered, a replacement or full refund will be offered.

  • Damaged items must be reported within 7 days of receipt; a replacement or full refund will be provided upon return.

  • International shipping is available to the USA and other countries by request. Customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees.

7. Returns & Refunds

  • Eligible items may be returned within 30 calendar days from delivery.

  • Custom Products or 3D printed items are exempt unless faulty or incorrectly produced.

  • Customers are responsible for return postage unless the fault lies with Printins Direct.

  • Refunds will be processed after receipt and inspection of returned items.

8. Cancellations

  • Orders may be cancelled before dispatch for a full refund.

  • Custom Products cannot be cancelled after Production Start.

  • Orders via third-party platforms (e.g., eBay or Amazon) must be cancelled through that platform.

9. Intellectual Property

  • All Website Content is owned by or licensed to Printins Direct.

  • Customers may not copy, reproduce, or use any content without written permission.

  • Designs provided by the customer remain their property unless used in production, in which case Printins Direct retains the right to reproduce for fulfilment only.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • Printins Direct is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

  • Liability is limited to the value of the purchased item.

  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

  • Customers agree to indemnify Printins Direct against losses arising from misuse of products or violation of these Terms.

11. Warranties

  • Defective Items due to manufacturing errors will be replaced or refunded.

  • Warranties do not cover damage from misuse, normal wear, or modifications.

12. Privacy & Data Protection

  • Personal Data is processed in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy.

  • By placing an order, customers consent to the collection and use of their data for processing orders and communications.

13. Force Majeure

  • Printins Direct is not liable for delays or failures caused by Force Majeure Events.

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

  • Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Changes to Terms

  • Printins Direct reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time.

  • Changes take effect immediately upon posting on the Website.
